Dressing up for a night out is always a fun process. Putting together each piece… top, bottom, shoes, and accessorizing is a natural high. There’s so many looks to choose from like ripped jeans, a black tee with chains and bright shoes or maybe you’re more of a white floral dress with sandals type of gal. Either way, they all usually have one thing in common... the cute little thing we carry our shit in. Purses, bags, clutches, back packs… ahhhhh I love them! Especially for a night out, clutches are another way to accessorize and complete any outfit. You know who makes cuteeeee assss clutches?? @CRNVRE

This girl makes such adorable clutches! Her name is Channon and she’s a local DC artist, showing us what it means to put your energy into something creative, expressive, and for purpose. She turned a random small idea into a successful handmade brand.

So tell me Channon, Why?

“Why? CRNVRE was manifested” says Channon. She explains to me the path she took

when switching from a crazy nightlife

party-er to putting her energy into something actually worth something. “I stopped going out and started filling my time with a more genuine interests. I prayed for God to show me how to use my talents”. Channeling energy into the right thing for yourself is so important. Energy can be wasted. Sometimes it just takes that one moment of realization to make a life changing switch in pace. “A couple months later, one random day while watching Solonge’s, “Losing You” music video, I felt heavily inspired to make clutches. I hated clutches at the time and didn’t know how to sew, but that’s what happened lol”.

Tell me about your first piece! “The first clutch I made was white with a zipper. I had painted my ‘teethed’ broken heart logo pattern on it. I thought it was so sick!”

I know must’ve felt amazing to complete that first perfect piece. To finally START. “It took me 4/5 hours to complete, about 3am when I finished, I cried, I was so happy” she tells me with a clear sign of genuine joy for her work in her voice.

Who’s the biggest customer you’ve sold to or worked with? Channon explains the length of time put into each piece. She makes sure to put all her love and attention into each one made. “Honestly, all my customers are big to me. There’s so much time and detail that goes into each piece. People don’t know, but I have to get it right the first time or else I start all over…” she proudly explains. “And if I’m really inspired, I’ll do creative packaging for an unboxing experience free of charge”. Awwww I want to see what that’s like!! I imagine a little butterfly popping out of a box like from Bridesmaids, lol.

What’s the hardest part of it all? So you make profit off your passion! That must feel amazing. But what’s the hardest part? “I think the hardest part of it all is being a one-person business” she admits, “I get overwhelmed... So, I’m hoping to manifest a tribe soon. But I trust the journey and who finds their way here”. I definitely try to manifest my hopes and dreams. You have to speak it into existence! I'm sure you'll have a great team behind you in no time!

I wish you the best on this journey CRNVRE! Your clutches are absolutely adorable and I am inspired by your passion for your work. Thank you for being the guest on my blog spotlight! Best of luck with all future endeavors love! “Thank you! I feel so awesome right now, speaking on my journey. I hope I inspires someone to do the same!”

Make sure to check out CRNVRE and purchase her work!!
